I am Abhishek Rathod COO of Gamepad.
I used to be hardcore gamer in my school and college days, Post college I started my own game design studio and animation institute.
In 2014 i started playing poker professionally and moved to Sweden to pursue poker.
Past 2 years I’ve been actively involved in the crypto space and working with exnetwork on various projects, so when Gamepad happened it was like reigniting the old passion for gaming.

Gamepad.co is a decentralized accelerator for web3 games and metaverses. Thru our platform > we incubate, launch, offer staking, nft sales and help community engagement. we plan to launch the next big thing in web3 games and metaverses using our experience as a fund and incubator for the last 4 years.
Gamepad focuses on motivating launchpad participants to becoming long term holders by staking/holding in order to improve their GP score which gives them various benefits in future sales and platform incentives.

How and why were you inspired to found Gamepad ?.
Abhishek Rathod:
Gaming on blockchain is just getting started and we expect it to grow exponential as it starts getting mainstream.
Most launchpads focus on one time sale marketing/promotional activities leading up to the launch, this results in launchpad tokens immediately liquidated for short term gains.
One thing we felt was a lack of connection between IDO investors, players and projects long term, which results in even some of the top projects with successful launches losing hype over time.
This is our biggest motivation as gaming being so close to our hearts, we want to see the blockchain gaming industry succeed.

We just thought to solve the problem of so many gamefi and metaverse projects not living to their potential cuz their launches were just too focused on the short term.

3.Please explain your fundraising strategies and token sale statistics to us. Who are your strategic investors and partners ?.
Abhishek Rathod:
We have raised $2.5m seed round with Okx Blockdream and Enjin.io leading the round.
Top influencers, funds, exchange, and guilds are also part of this round.
We have also onboarded advisors who have worked in companies like EA, King and they bring a wealth of experience with them.
In late March, early April we plan to have our LBP on Copperlaunch which will be open for everyone, followed by CEX and DEX listings.

4.Please explain to us about roles of $GPAD token in the GamePad ecosystem ,and features that make it different from other tokens out in the market. How can traders earn from GamePad platform? So what chain you support to now ?.
Abhishek Rathod:
$GPAD is our deflationary token that will determine the allocation a staker gets on the next accelerated project’s IDO / public sale. GPAD, stakers can also vote on which IDOs they want next and on proposals.
It will also have uses in acquiring Lottery tickets to buy or mint scarce NFTs from the project Fees from early yield withdrawal will also be paid in GPAD to GPAD holders.
More uses are planned as we build up the platform overtime.
Any earnings we have through GPAD will be used to buy back and burn so the bigger we get the scarcer the GPAD supply will be.
For now we will be launching as an ERC20 token and more chains will be integrated in near future.

5.What are GamePad near future plans? What can we expect in 2022? What are you focusing on now?.
Abhishek Rathod:
After the LBP sale at Copperlaunch in late March/ early April, we will quickly enable our staking platform then introduce our first Spotlight IDO in early April followed by the launch of our NFT genesispad. Our Community IDOs will come next.
In May, we will debut our BSC support then Solana after that.
We plan to launch one Spotlight (triple A project) per month and 2-3 community IDOs per month too (voted by the community).

7.Gamepad mention that one of the innovations of is its automatic settlement engine and its buyback engine, can you tell us about how they work and the benefits and improvements it brings to the protocol?.

30% of the incubation fees will be used to buyback GPAD from the market and burnt.
30% of all earnings from the Gamefi and Metaverse NFT launches will be used to buyback GPAD at market rate to be burnt.
100% of early withdrawal fees from staking pools will be fully used to buy back and burn $GPAD.
This results in GPAD being a deflationary token making it scarce over time and having a healthy growth.

8.Many games that involve blockchain are often not entertaining enough and end up being played only for money.
Do you think #gamepadco is genuinely entertaining and could be played even if it were free?.

Gamepad is not a game
It is a launchpad and a full ecosystem for gaming and metaverse projects to raise funds, get help in marketing, tokenomics, access to investors and gamers.
Our ecosystem goes beyond just a fund raise and helps projects long term in reaching their full potential.
One of the key factors in selecting games for our incubation is quality of the game, the graphics and the gameplay.
We have a team of gamers and advisors who will be involved with the projects during their development phase and post launch.

In order to understand this we need to understand where crypto gaming stands as compared to the traditional gaming world, and IMO we are at a very early stage and a few years behind vs the traditional industry.
This will change over time as more companies get involved and the exposure to the traditional gamers increases.
At Gamepad we are actively working with guilds and also have plans to work with communities and teams from non crypto gaming industry.
With the kind of projects we have lined up, and the marketing plans in place, I am confident we will be able to bridge this gap quite soon.

11.I’ve read that playing games can help you earn money passively. How can @gamepadco help users earn money passively? On which blockchain is your coin based? Is your product aimed at more experienced cryptocurrency users, or is it only attractive and appealing to newcomers?.

Gamepad will be focussing on launching P2E games, you can be a part of these games and actively and passively earn while playing.
You can also earn holding $GPAD tokens,
$GPAD holders also get share of revenue generated across our platform along with various platform benefits.
Gamepad user experience will be very straightforward and simple, but a lot of things will be going on in the backend.
For passive investors it doesnt matter if you are experienced or new, theres going to be something for everyone.
More experienced users can take part in IDO voting, AMAs, beta testing, etc.
